# discover.md

Discover is an agent-first product directory. An AI agent can search by task, read a product's capabilities and readiness checks, and get the tools or instructions it needs to recommend or use the product.

The catalog could be available through MCP, an HTTP API, Markdown pages, and an npx CLI. Products would be checked for clear agent-facing information, usable interfaces, and support for agentic payments such as Stripe Shared Payment Tokens and x402.

## Audience

AI agents and the people who rely on them to choose software. It is also for founders building products that need to be found by agents.

## Likely buyers

Agent-ready SaaS products, developer tools, APIs, and AI infrastructure companies that want their product to appear when an agent searches for a matching capability. Admission would be free when a product passes the readiness checks; payment would buy clearly marked placement among relevant results.

## Competitors and adjacent products

Google and SEO listicles, Product Hunt, G2, and Capterra are human-first discovery products. Ora Directory and Agent Native Registry index or score products for agents. x402 Bazaar helps agents find payable endpoints. Outbid.lol showed that AI and agent companies will pay for visibility, but it is a leaderboard rather than a search directory.

## The opportunity

Discover would be a structured, machine-readable catalog where relevance decides which products match a task and paid tiers affect placement among those matches. The same listings could be searched by an agent or read by a person, with the product's agent interfaces and setup instructions attached.

## Status

An early product idea, open to someone who wants to build it.
